Latest Information Pertaining to COVID-19 and the Steps the Tribe is Taking to Keep Members and Residents Safe

RE: Tribal Response to Influenza and Coronavirus

As the Federal, State, and local governments continue to monitor the spread of Influenza and the Coronavirus (now called COVID-19), the Iowa tribal government is continuing to take proactive steps to keep our citizens and community safe and healthy.

Essential categories:

Clinic

Farm

Tribal Offices

Law Enforcement/Emergency

The following are to be put into place immediately:

  • Until further notice anyone who doesn’t work in the specific areas deemed essential categories will NOT be allowed in tribal buildings (except Grandview) without appointment and authorization.
  • The front door to the Tribal offices will remain locked, visitors will state their purpose/appointment, and then be allowed in if needed.
  • Always stay 6 feet away from each other; no visiting in enclosed spaces (offices or vehicles).
  • Wash hands every 20 minutes, unless farming/fieldwork
  • Wipe all surfaces touched with hands with disinfectant every hour (phones, computers, etc.)
