Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska

Powwow

Hello Relatives. My name is Christina Wedner. I am enrolled member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. My family is also Tódích’ii’nii clan of the Navajo Nation. I live in Omaha, Nebraska with my husband, two daughters and two dogs. I am a Jingledress powwow dancer, a runner, a seamstress and a student at Nebraska Indian Community College. I love to write poetry and short stories and teach our Native youth poetry workshops. I also have a strong passion for Recovery because I walk a Road of Sobriety and like to help others. I am an involved community member and I love our people and our tribe. I am truly honored to fulfill Head Woman responsibilities at our Baxoje Fall Encampment 2026 Powwow. Thank you for including my family and myself.
