PEACE Program

Community Outreach

Healing starts with connection — and grows through understanding.

Everything you share with us is confidential. We will not share your information without your permission — unless someone is in immediate danger. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about what confidentiality looks like in practice.

At the heart of the PEACE Program is a commitment not only to support survivors, but to uplift the whole community. We believe that by coming together, talking openly, and sharing knowledge, we can shift the culture — and build a future where violence has no place.

Our outreach efforts are rooted in tribal values, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported.

Connecting with Community

We know that in small communities, trust matters. That’s why we focus on building real, face-to-face connections with individuals, families, and local leaders.

Our outreach includes:

  • Participation in powwows, health fairs, and cultural events

  • Collaboration with tribal councils, youth programs, and elder groups

  • Table talks and open community discussions about safety and healing

  • On-site presentations in schools, clinics, and community centers

Our goal is to meet people where they are — in both location and life.

Educational Resources

We believe that education is a powerful tool for prevention and healing. Through printed materials, workshops, and hands-on activities, we share information in a way that’s clear, compassionate, and culturally grounded.

What we provide:

  • Pamphlets, flyers, and safety guides

  • Safety planning tips for youth, elders, and families

  • Materials on recognizing the signs of abuse

  • Information on legal rights and available services

  • Culturally relevant content for tribal members

Knowledge should be accessible to everyone — and we’re here to share it.

Workshops & Seminars

Our team organizes regular gatherings that invite people to learn, share, and grow together. These sessions are open to all and designed to foster safety, understanding, and empowerment.

Topics may include:

  • Healthy relationships and boundaries

  • Healing from trauma

  • Understanding domestic violence and its impacts

  • Recognizing and responding to sexual assault or stalking

  • Culturally centered self-care and community care

We don’t just teach — we listen, learn, and grow together.

Why Outreach Matters

Many people in tribal communities face barriers when it comes to reaching out for help — including stigma, isolation, and limited resources. Community outreach helps reduce those barriers by building trust, breaking silence, and offering hope.

By talking openly and showing up consistently, we’re helping to build a culture that says:

  • We believe survivors.

  • You are not alone.

  • Help is here — and it’s grounded in care and tradition.
