Burial Assistance

Burial Assistance

The Burial Assistance Fund pays $4,000 to the funeral home of the deceased Tribal Member. You must provide a death certificate and complete the Burial Assistance Form to be eligible for receiving assistance.

📰 The first edition of The ITKN Connection is now live in the Members’ Area of the website.

This new publication serves as an informational newsletter for the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, providing important updates and information for our tribal citizens.

You can access it here:

History
In 1854, the Kansas-Nebraska Act created our territories, drawing a line across the Iowa Reservation, which made us the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.

Government
The tribe is governed by two bodies, The General Council and The Executive Comittee. Organized under a constitution and bylaws approved in 1937.

The Iowa Tribe has 14 Services & Programs. Including Education, Assitance, Senior Citizen Program, Health, etc.
