Ioway Farms

The farm operation has historically operated at a profit. The Tribe’s agricultural activities are concentrated on beef livestock operations and producing corn and soybeans as cash crops. Alfalfa, millet and brome are also cultivated as forage crops to support the livestock operation.

History
In 1854, the Kansas-Nebraska Act created our territories, drawing a line across the Iowa Reservation, which made us the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.

Government
The tribe is governed by two bodies, The General Council and The Executive Comittee. Organized under a constitution and bylaws approved in 1937.

The Iowa Tribe has 14 Services & Programs. Including Education, Assitance, Senior Citizen Program, Health, etc.
