Mission & Goals
At the PEACE Program, our goal is simple: to support, uplift, and walk alongside those in our tribal communities who are experiencing domestic or intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, elder abuse, or human trafficking.
We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and heard — and we know that healing happens through community, compassion, and culture.
Violence is not a part of our traditions. That’s why we’re here — to help break cycles of harm and create a future rooted in safety, strength, and connection. Whether someone needs a listening ear, a safe place to stay, or help navigating legal systems, we’re here to offer support every step of the way.
Together, we’re building a community where peace is possible — and no one has to face it alone.

The Peace Program, offered through Cina Akidąwe, offers free services for members of Federally recognized Tribes living in our service area: Doniphan, Brown, Holt, and Richardson counties.
